Big Problem

Historically, monopolies are opposed to competition. In search for ever increasing profits, corporations sometimes become so large that entire industries depend on their very existence. In many cases the corporation in question will actively seek to worsen the dependency to their products, until they have total control.

Today that is happening with Monsanto. The corporation’s sensational thirst for profits has culminated into a devious plan to monopolize the agriculture industry and food itself.

Weather modification is the act of intentionally manipulating or altering the weather.In 1975, the US and Canada entered into an agreement under the auspices of the United Nations for the exchange of information on weather modification activity.

Who Is Providing Oversight to the Canadian People?

The Governor General of Canada is the federal viceregal representative of the Canadian monarch ( currently Queen Elizabeth II). Because the person of the sovereign is shared equally both with the 15 other Commonwealth realms and the 10 provinces of Canada and resides predominantly in her oldest realm, the United Kingdom, she, on the advice of the Canadian prime minister, appoints the governor general to carry out most of her constitutional and ceremonial duties. The commission is for an unfixed period of time—known as serving at Her Majesty’s pleasure—though five years is the normal convention.

The current governor general is David Lloyd Johnston, who has served since 1 October 2010; Prime Minister Stephen Harper recommended him to succeed Michaëlle Jean. The position of Governor General was responsible for oversight of the weather modification act. It has proved to be difficult to hold an unelected official accountable for something that may very well affect each and every Canadian. We have yet to have a serious discussion about details of this act.

Why We Should Care?

There needs to be a public discussion on weather modification and its effects on our air, food and water. The Governor General is not an elected representative of the Canadian people, and therefore cannot be held accountable by our democracy. The Governor General’s allegiance is clearly to the Queen. Although his salary and expenses are paid by the tax paying citizens of Canada.

What Can We Do?

Regulations made under this act make it possible for citizens to find out what is happening in their local communities. This legislation allows us to better understand the ongoing weather modification that they have kept from the general public. It is up us, as responsible citizens to hold our government officials responsible. Together we can protect our communities.
