The Valhalla emblem or Logo was designed by Germ so only he can truly understand the logo in its entirety with many intricate meanings on numerous layers of understanding.
That being said a conventional story we tell and intended is that the 3 perpetual triangles represent Sustainability – Community – Action which are surrounded by the circle of Knowledge. (This is the upsidedown Valknut as we feel we are changing the tides of the story of humanity by working towards being a unified under these ideals.)
There is mention of the ruin on the bottom being a Nazi symbol and worry of us being some kind of Nazi organization which couldn’t be further from the truth.
The Nazis used hundreds of old runes and symbols in their organization which have rich histories that span way before their time and it is under this meaning that we choose this rune. The symbol at the bottom of the Valhalla logo symbolizes “Earth” and “inheritance” at its core meaning and has a history of its own which you can look into.
We understand that the logo is something of debate: Why use an upside down Valknut – or an Othala rune which has been associated with oppressive regimes in the past? Well we believe these runes have incredibly powerful and very solid meanings that stem from their Norse origins and find it very unfortunate that they were used for war and in World War II. The Nazi’s and all other wars have been waged using symbology of all kinds – be it the cross being used as a symbol of the Crusades or a variety of symbols being painted on the sides of tanks – warships – shields and weapons of many different nations throughout all of history. The truth is at one point or another all kinds of symbols have been used for propaganda and been slandered in some way.

We have absolutely no ties to any religious organization – subscribe to no religious beliefs as an organization – are in no way part of any nazi or political regimes of any kind and promote the exact opposite of what any oppressive regime has ever imposed whether it be in the name of any “God” or “good”.
Although we sympathize with the families of the victims of the holocaust and all acts of war (some of our own families were in concentration camps and jailed by the nazi’s for years as well) we do understand that in order to heal the wounds sometimes we should transcend the defamations done by oppressive regimes and realize that some of their symbols really do have deeper meanings which are completely unrelated.
All this explanation is up for debate and might yield different answers around different members but what this all symbolizes now is the Valhalla Movement and our collective mission to empower our Freedom Culture ideals.
